This research request is from a PhD student/veterinarian at NC State. NCVMA is not involved in this research project and is passing this survey request on to our members as a courtesy. Dear Veterinary Colleagues, We are conducting a nationwide study surveying the use of blood products in farm animal species, including cattle, small ruminants, camelids, and pigs. This study aims to describe the protocols and techniques used for collecting, storing, and administering these blood products in both private practice and academic settings. The summarized findings of this study will be published, providing insight into current practices in farm animal transfusion medicine and helping identify future areas of research. If you are a mixed or large animal veterinarian within the United States, we invite you to share your insights by participating in our survey! This survey consists of multiple-choice and short-answer questions and takes ≤15 minutes to complete. Please note that all responses are anonymous, and no personal identifiers are collected, except for the state you practice in. The survey can be accessed here: https://forms.gle/PjqiGkNYtbfiYtP66 This study has been approved by the NC State Institutional Review Board. For questions about the survey or the research study, please contact the graduate student researcher, Cileah Kretsch-York, at cmkretsc@ncsu.edu or the faculty advisor, Lisa Gamsjäger, at lgamsja@ncsu.edu.
