Electroporation uses short, intensive electric fields to temporarily create aqueous pathways (electropores) in cell membranes, allowing chemotherapy drugs like bleomycin or cisplatin to enter tumor cells more effectively. This localized treatment method is highly effective for specific tumor types, with studies showing high complete response rates up to 90% for certain tumor types. This presentation will go over appropriate case selection , side effects , and specific case examples of electrochemotherapy in companion animals.
